<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an elevator provided with two pairs of independent solenoid brakes and capable of determining the presence or absence of brake abnormality during non-load stopping with no passenger. <P>SOLUTION: The control device for the elevator is provided with at least two pairs of independent solenoid brakes 11, 13; a brake control device 20 for individually making a current flowing in respective brake coils 11b, 13b and independently controlling at least two pairs of solenoid brakes; and a control means for inputting power instruction to a hoisting motor based on a rotation angle of the hoisting motor 6 and inputting brake release instruction to a brake control device. The control means makes the current flowing only in one brake coil of the solenoid brake by the brake control device to release one brake during stopping with no passenger in the car, and determines the presence or absence of abnormality of the solenoid brake by the fact whether or not unbalance torque of the non-load car and a balance weight can be supported by the other non-released solenoid brake. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
