<p>In a process for producing an oriented film according to one aspect of the invention, providing that V<SUB>n+1</SUB> refers to the circumferential velocity (m/min) of the (n+1)th, counted from the upstream side, roller among most upstream rollers of paired rollers and preheating rollers, V<SUB>n</SUB> refers to the circumferential velocity (m/min) of the n-th roller situated one roller upstream of the (n+1)th roller and ?T<SUB>n</SUB> refers to the temperature difference (°C) brought about by any temperature change of cellulose acylate film by contact with the n-th roller, V<SUB>n+1</SUB> is set so as to fall within the range of 0.01x?T<SUB>n</SUB>xV<SUB>n</SUB> to 0.2x?T<SUB>n</SUB>xV<SUB>n</SUB>. Simultaneously, the time of contact of the cellulose acylate film with each of the preheating rollers, t<SUB>n</SUB>, is regulated so as to fall within the range of 1 to 10 sec.</p> |
