PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a reliable sheet carrying operation by predetermining whether or not a sheet for use is reliably peeled from a belt.SOLUTION: A sheet carrier device includes a conveyor belt for conveying a sheet, and a determination part for determining whether or not the sheet has relative characteristics that enable the conveyance operations of making the sheet conveyed in the state of bringing an upstream-side part of the conveyor belt and the sheet into intimate contact with each other and of making the sheet peeled from a downstream-side part of the conveyor belt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
