PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail canvas capable of reducing a contraction amount in a width direction during manufacturing of a man conveyor moving handrail (or man conveyor handrail).SOLUTION: A handrail canvas includes base cloth 23 and sliding cloth 24. The base cloth 23 is woven by using a warp yarn 25 and a weft yarn 26. The sliding cloth 24 is provided in the base cloth 23. The sliding cloth 24 covers a part of the surface of the base cloth 23. The sliding cloth 24 is woven by using a warp yarn 27 and a weft yarn 28. The warp yarn 27 has friction characteristics lower than the warp yarn 25. The warp yarn 27 is worn more easily than the warp yarn 25. The weft yarn 28 has thermal shrinkage lower than the warp yarn 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
