<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently purify water containing sodium ions such as seawater by using a polymer hydrous gel in which microorganisms living in water having specified value as the concentration of a sodium ion are included and immobilized. CONSTITUTION:In the case of purifying water containing sodium ions such as seawater, a polymer hydrous gel is used in which microorgainsms living or acclimated in water having >=0.01g/l concentration of sodium ions are included and immobilized. Microorganisms living in seawater containing 9-12g/l sodium ions are gathered, propagated and used. Polyvinyl alcohol-based hydrous gel in which inhabitability of microorganisms is high and strength and durability are excellent is preferably used as the material of the polymer hydrous gel. An arbitrary shape as a plate shape, a dice shape, a spherical shape, a fibrous shape and a film shape is selected as the shape of the polymer hydrous gel.</p> |
