PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an immobilized enzyme reaction system capable of synthesizing an objective product at sufficient reaction rate and high concentration. SOLUTION: This enzyme reaction method is characterized by carrying out an enzyme reaction using an immobilized enzyme containing a water content of more than 10 wt.% as an enzyme and using an organic solvent not substantially miscible with water as a reaction solvent under the condition consisting of a homogeneous system the solution phase of which is saturated with water or an aqueous buffer solution but the phase is not separated.
