PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fine apatite particles which have been made highly planar, and are suitable for use to the material for the living body, the material for packing into a column or the like, and the material for reinforcing plastics and rubber as well, and a production method therefor. SOLUTION: The planar apatite has a weight mean thickness of <=100 nm, and a mean aspect ratio of >=20. The production method for the planar apatite is characterized by the heat treatment for a octacalcium phophate compound. |
