<p>A method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire so formed that the end parts of carcass plies are held by a bead wire structure, wherein the structure of a device for sticking ply cords on the outer surface of a core rigid body is simplified and a time for sticking operation is reduced, and a tension is accurately and easily controlled. The both ends of a cord (C) cut at a specified length are held by finger chucks (10A) and (10B) to apply a tension to the cord in the longitudinal direction, and the routes of hands (8A) and (8B) and the cord (C) are changed as shown by (D<SUB>1</SUB>) to (D<SUB>7</SUB>), (F<SUB>1</SUB>) to (F<SUB>7</SUB>), and (C<SUB>1</SUB>) to (C<SUB>8</SUB>). When these hands reach the positions (D<SUB>4</SUB>) and (F<SUB>4</SUB>), elastically deforming tools (16A) and (16B) are operated to fold the cord (C). When they reach (D<SUB>7</SUB>) and (F<SUB>7</SUB>), pressing members (11A) and (11B) are advanced to press both ends of the cord (C) against the bead parts (25) of the core rigid body (22), and the finger chucks (10A) and (10B) are opened to release the cord (C).</p> |
