A scanning method of a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) client is provided to increase the amount of transmitted data by reducing the time of a scanning process for a different time according to quality of a link used for data transmission or obtain more data capable of exactly searching a roaming access point. A scanning method of a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) client comprises: determining quality of a link used for data transmission(S601); selecting scanning time information corresponding to the determined quality of the link among scanning time information differently set according to the quality of the link(S602); and scanning access points of a wireless channels by using the selected scanning time information(S605).
