PURPOSE:To simplify an operation by decomposing hydrogen peroxide by using an OH type anion exchanger during or after a disinfecting treatment. CONSTITUTION:The hydrogen peroxide is decomposed by using the OH type anion exchanger during or after the disinfecting treatment in the method for disinfecting a lens by using a hydrogen peroxide soln. The treatment is the material obtd. by bonding a quaternary ammonium group as an ion exchange group to a high polymer base body, such as a three dimensionally copolymerized copolymer and electrostatically bonding the OH group to this quaternary ammonium group. A styrene/vinyl benzene copolymer which is bonded with the quaternary ammonium group in which the OH group is electrostatically bonded and copolymer of styrene and divinyl benzene which is bonded with the quaternary ammonium group in which the OH group is electrostatically bonded, etc., are used as the representative examples of the OH type anion exchanger. |
