FORMATION OF MAT OF RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a mat with a high height by holding the mat material adhesion surface of a recording material to which a fluidized mat material adheres in the gravity direction until the fluidized mat material is fixed to the adhesion surface. SOLUTION: An atomized mat liquid 2 is applied from the rotary bell 7 of a rotary atomizer to a recording material backing 1 traveling in the arrow A direction (gravity direction). The atomizer has a motor 6 and the rotary bell 7 rotated by the motor 6, and a mat liquid is supplied to the bell 7 by a liquid sending pump 5. The backing 1 to which the mat liquid 2 is applied and the fluidized mat 3 is made to adhere changes its traveling direction by a conveyance roll 8 to turn a surface to which the fluidized mat 3 adheres downward (to turn in the gravity direction) and is conveyed to a drier 9. The mat liquid 2 applied to the backing 1 is dried by the drier 9 to become the objective mat 4 fixed to the backing 1.
