摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for highly searching a cell in a synchronous CDMA communication system and a method thereof are provided to shorten a cell searching time by obtaining a scramble code of a base station at the same time as a frame synchronous signal in case that the cell is searched in the asynchronous CDMA communication system. CONSTITUTION: A matching filter correlates the second synchronous code of the first period with the second period signal of the second synchronous channel, and an accumulator accumulates an output of the matching filter by a slot. A discriminator checks the output of the accumulator, and if the output of the accumulator is larger than a reference energy, outputs "1", and thus finally outputs a scramble code number. A base station transmits the second synchronous channel having the first interval contained in second synchronous code information and transmits the second interval having the second interval consecutive to the first interval and contained scramble code information. A mobile terminal obtains a scramble code number of a base station at the same time as a frame synchronous signal. To obtain the scramble code number, the mobile terminal obtains a scramble group information by using the second synchronous code transmitted during initial 256-chips period, and calculates a corresponding bit of scramble group information by correlating information transmitted during a next 256-chip period with the second synchronous code transmitted during initial 256-chip period.
