<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a series of processing from being changed during processing when executing a series of processing based on connected workflows in a plurality of pieces of equipment or a system. <P>SOLUTION: When an MDP 101 and an MPF 102 execute a series of the workflows, and the MFP 101 executes a leading workflow among the series of workflows, the MFP 101 notifies the MFP 102 of the start of the series of workflows. When the MPF 102 is notified of the start of the series of workflows, the MPF 102 inhibits the change of the workflow definition information stored in the MFP 102 related to the notification of the start.
