PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant evaporator capable of suppressing cracking due to freezing.SOLUTION: A refrigerant evaporator 1 exchanging heat between air and a refrigerant, includes a windward-side heat exchange portion 12 and a leeward-side heat exchange portion 22 exchanging heat between the air and the refrigerant, a windward-side distribution tank 13 for distributing the refrigerant to the windward-side heat exchange portion 12, a leeward-side collection tank 23 collecting the refrigerant flowing in the leeward-side heat exchange portion 22, and a replacement tank 30 for guiding the refrigerant collected to the leeward-side collection tank 23 to the windward-side distribution tank 13. A clearance CL1 is formed among the tanks 13, 23 and 30. At least one of a joining portion of the windward-side distribution tank 13 and the replacement tank 30, and a joining portion of the leeward-side collection tank 23 and the replacement tank 30 is provided with a drain passage 40, 50 for discharging water accumulated in the clearance CL1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
