PURPOSE:To increase the ratio of the incident light absorbed in an active layer for contributing to power generation thereby improving the photoelectric conversion efficiency by a method wherein a reflecting film is provided between a substrate and an insulating film and then the active layer is formed on the reflecting film. CONSTITUTION:An insulating film 7 provided with selectively made openings 8 is formed on a substrate 6; an active layer 2 is formed on the insulating film 7 and the substrate 6 in the openings 8; and a reflecting film 12 of the light passing through the active layer 2 and the insulating film 7 is provided between the substrate 6 and the insulating film 7. Accordingly, the said light passing through the active layer 2 and the insulating film 7 is reflected by the reflecting film 12 in high reflecting power to reach the active layer 2 again. Through these procedures, the substantial absorption factor in the active layer 2 is augmented so that the photoelectric conversion of any incident light may be performed efficiently. |
