The folding display comprises a video panel (1) equipped with at least two body elements (2, 3) which are interlinked by hinges and are spatially arranged such as to be capable of forming a single flat functional and operational surface (5) of the video panel (1). A video information display means is provided in the form of a flexible film structure (6). The film structure is kinematically linked to the corresponding areas of the body elements (2, 3) of the video panel (1). The video panel has a means for the input and output of information, which functions as a means for implementing a commutated link between the video information display means and a control processor. The surface (5) is sunken relative to the body elements (2, 3) so that an outline frame is formed. For this purpose, the body elements (2, 3) are provided with recesses (8, 9), the size of which corresponds to the outline of the film structure. The film structure (6) is placed in the aforementioned recesses (8, 9). At least one of the two boundary areas of the film structure (6) is rigidly fixed to the corresponding surface area (5). The film structure is situated on a thin substrate (7) which is rigidly connected to the film structure (6) and is made from an amorphous or nanocrystalline metal alloy. The kinematic connection of the film structure (6) with the functional and operational surface (5) of the body elements (2, 3) is implemented by the substrate (7) in such a way that the substrate (7) is able to slide longitudinally along the aforementioned surface (5). The technical result is an increase in image quality since the potential for the formation of permanent deformations in the material of the film structure during the folding of the display is eliminated.
