PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly perform the degutting work of a squid in high efficiency without damaging the trunk of the squid. SOLUTION: A ring 12 is put on the head 102 of a squid 100, slantly inserted into the inner cavity of the trunk 101 of the squid 100 and pushed toward the tip side of the inner cavity of the trunk 101 to break or cut the connective tissue 105 connecting the head 102 and the gut 104 to the trunk 101 and remove the gut 104. The apparatus for the production of trunk flesh of squid has a slit between the ring 12 and a blade. The apparatus is composed of a pair of arms connected with each other in a swingable manner and a pair of semicircular parts attached to the swinging parts of arms and placed oppositely to each other to enable the contact or approach of both ends.
