PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make recovery sure after setting an electric power source ON regardless of the stop position of a transfer member by reversely rotating the driving means of the transfer member until the lapse of a fixed time or detection of the transfer member of paper sheets, in the case of making the electric power source ON/OFF when the paper sheets are transferred from one receiving part to the other receiving part. SOLUTION: Paper sheets P loaded on a right tray are one by one fed to an image forming part by a paper feed means. When the paper sheet P loaded on the right tray is used up, an elevatable motor is reversely rotated to bring down a bottom plate until being detected by a lower limit sensor. Simultaneously with it a transfer motor 8 on the left tray side is normally rotated to move an transfer fence 9 onto the right tray 1 side, and the paper sheets P on the left tray side are transferred onto the right tray side. When the electric power source of the device is made ON/OFF during this transfer, until the lapse of a fixed time or detection of the transfer fence 9 by a home sensor 11, the transfer motor 8 is reversely rotated to reversely feed the transfer fence 9, and it is positioned on the upper stream side than a presser sensor 10.
