The device has adjustable shoes (30) each integrated to a brake shoe (32) with a rod (34) including a longitudinal groove (48). The shoes contact a circular surface (28) coaxial to an actuating ring (26). A washer (42) is inserted between a locking nut (40) and a circular cavity (44) of an outer surface (26a) of the ring. The washer has a radial pin (46) engaged in the groove, and radial slots (50) engaged in slots (52) of the cavity.
