PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment apparatus capable of accurately controlling the water temperature in a treatment tank. SOLUTION: The wastewater treatment apparatus is equipped with the treatment tank 20 for decomposing an organic matter component in inflow wastewater by microorganisms, a water temperature detection means (water temperature sensor 80) for detecting the water temperature in the treatment tank 20, a heating means for heating the interior of the treatment tank 20 and a control means for controlling the heating means on the basis of the water temperature detected by the water temperature detection means (water temperature sensor 80). The water temperature detection means (water temperature sensor 80) is attached to the upper lid 25 of the treatment tank 20 to detect the water temperature in the treatment tank 20.
