PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely checking whether or not an overheat preventing means which is a safety device in a drying process is normal in every drying process in a dry cleaner of a system of recovering all the solvent. SOLUTION: In the drying process, by lowering the blowing amount of a blower 10 and making a drying heater 13 perform a full heating operation, a drum entrance temperature thermistor 14 continuously detects a predetermined temperature or a higher temperature for fixed time, and whether or not an overheat preventing circuit 15A is operated is discriminated.
