An apparatus and a method for controlling digital door lock devices using wireless communication are provided to enhance user convenience by unlocking the digital door lock devices using mobile phones. An apparatus for controlling digital door lock devices includes a door lock unit for locking and unlocking a door and a station for controlling the door lock unit through wireless communication. The door lock unit, which includes an RF(Radio Frequency) card detector(112), a human sensing member, and wireless communication member detects an RF card, recognizes ID(IDentification), performs locking and unlocking instructions, and performs a control mode which turns on a communication mode with the station based on human detection. The station including a telephone connection member and a wireless communication member performs ARS(Automatic Response system) guidance broadcasting and outputs locking and unlocking instructions through an RF transceiver(107) in wireless communication with the door lock unit.
