The profile (2) has wings (13) extending in a direction outside the profile from a base (12) formed by bottom of the profile. The wings include a position maintaining unit (15) e.g. clip, engaged with a complementary unit i.e. curved free end (16), arranged at an inlet of a longitudinal groove (3) of an opening frame (1). A guiding and centering unit (17) is placed partially above the unit in outside direction and opened at open end of the frame. The guiding and centering unit guides the profile with respect to a fixed element (9) of a door frame (10) around which the profile is positioned. The profile is made of insulating material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a bay (2) a method for forming an opening frame and a door frame assembly.
