PURPOSE:To provide the hydraulic control method of a torque converter by which a vehicle can run safely, even if wear and deterioration and the like of a friction plate constituting of a damper clutch are generated according to an elapse of time, in a vehicle assembling the damper clutch into the torque converter. CONSTITUTION:In a torque converter 12 for changing an oil pressure for perfectly engaging a damper clutch 23 assembled between an input case 13 and a turbine 15 following a throttle opening, when the slip amount of the damper clutch 23 is bigger than a slip allowable value set in advance, a pressed oil with the maximum oil pressure is supplied to the damper clutch 23. Even in this state, when the slip amount of the damper clutch 23 is bigger than the slip allowable value, the control is discontinued in order to engage the damper clutch 23 perfectly. |
