PURPOSE: To miniaturize the outer diameter size of a high-voltage bushing for an X-ray tube by applying a gas insulation system. CONSTITUTION: Insulating gas is sealed in a space 14 between an insulator 10 and a cable post 12. The insulator 10 is formed from alumina ceramics and the cable post 12 is formed from mold resin in which alumina powder of grain size 5-8μm is mixed. This cable post 12 is integrally formed with a brass holder 32 and the holder 32 is cooled down by a cooling water. A discharge suppression circuit 16 is embedded in the inside of the cable post 12. Connection terminals 20 exposed from the cable post 12 are connected to vacuum side terminals 18 which penetrate through the insulator 10. Heat transmitted from an electron gun to the vacuum side terminals 18 is escaped to the cooling water via the insulator 10 and the holder 32 so that the temperature rise in the high voltage bushing can be suppressed.
