<p>A device which is used both as an immobilizer system and an engine remote control system for automobile. The device is provided with a first controller (13) which compares a first identification code (ID) for specifying the key (12a) of an automobile and a second registration code (IDn) registered specially for the automobile and drives an engine based on a first signal (EA) generated when both codes (ID and IDn) coincide with each other. A transmitter (15) for remote control generates a second identification code (Rm) and a second controller (14) compares the second identification code (Rm) with a pre-registered second registration code (Rn) and, when both codes (Rm and Rn) coincide with each other and the state of the automobile meets a predecided idling-possible condition, generates a second signal (IA) for starting the engine for idling and outputs the signal (IA) to the first controller (13). Upon receiving the signal (IA), the controller (13) starts the engine for idling based on the signal (IA) regardless of the first signal (EA).</p> |
