PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vicarious recording service which enables a user to easily request vicarious picture recording, get the contents of picture recording, and change the request for picture recording. SOLUTION: A digital picture recording device which is capable of recording images through a digital picture recording mode is controlled by a computer connected to a computer network, and a user requests vicarious picture recording through the computer. The recorded television program is downloaded to a user's digital picture reproducing device or personal computer which is capable of reproducing the recorded digital picture. |
