PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide the number of detection targets passing a specific place with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This optimum correction value calculation device has: a time series data acquisition means detecting presence/absence of the detection target in the specific place within a specific period, and acquiring time series data from a sensor outputting the time series data of detection information showing the detected presence/absence of the detection target; a right answer data acquisition means acquiring the number of the detection targets that are a right answer; an error calculation means separately correcting the detection information showing the absence in the time series data into the detection information showing the presence by amounts corresponding to respective correction values of the plurality of correction values different from each other, deciding the number of the respective detection targets based on respective pieces of the time series data corrected by the respective correction values, and comparing the decided number of the respective detection targets and the number of the detection targets shown in right answer data to calculate respective errors; and an optimum correction value specification means specifying the correction value having a smallest absolute value of the error as an optimum correction value based on the respective calculated errors.
