PURPOSE:To achieve stable partial-wear restraint by delaying the occurrence of partial wear of a tire, and by securely restraining the occurrence of rubber crack at the belt end of the third layer for enhancing the durability of the belt. CONSTITUTION:A known radial tire for heavy load use comprises at least three layers of belts 1 to 4, and this is a low aspect ratio tire in which the ratio of the tire height to the tire width is less than 75%, and the cord inclination of the outermost belt 4 to the circumferential direction A of the tire and that of the belt 3 adjacent to the inside of the belt are same, and the inclinations thereof are 15 deg. to 30 deg. respectively. And on both sides in the tire width direction of the outermost belt 4, and in the upper both ends of the belt adjacent to the inside thereof, narrow width belts 6a, 6b consisting of steel cords whose elongation at the time of rupture is 3.5 to 7% and having a cord inclination of 5 deg. to 20 deg. to the circumferential direction A of the tire are arranged so as to have the same inclination as those of both the belts. |
