PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a plurality of carriers to one transponder and to increase the repetition of reception→program information discrimination→reselection of station→reception in the case of a low bit rate, by which the frequency fluctuation of LNB(low noise block) of a satellite broadcasting receiver is hard and especially the carrier band of an SCPC(signal channel per carrier) system is narrow. SOLUTION: A CPU part 7 supplies a TS packet corresponding to a second intermediate frequency 2ndIF, which is band-restricted by a filter part 4 and demodulated by an IQ demodulation part 9 to a forward error correction (QPSK /FEC) part 10 and an (SCR) (screamble)/DEMUX(demultiplexer) part 11 prior to the selection of a carrier. Frequency carriers are scanned in order starting from the lowest one by PID of the TS packet. Program information corresponding to the carrier of the packet is obtained every time and is accumulated in a memory 8. Then, the CPU part 7 discriminate whether the carrier selected by a station selection part 3 is to be selected or not. When the carrier which is to be selected is mistaken, program information stored in the memory 8 is referred to and the station is speedily selected again.
