The head 2 comprises a weakened zone 4 around the body 1 such that when the head receives an impact corresponding to a force (load) greater than that necessary to turn the key, the head 2 breaks in said weakened zone 4. The mass of plastic material 7 around the body 1 may have radial protuberances 8, 9 to facilitate actuation of the key after the break has occurred. For the same purpose, said mass of plastic material 7 can become housed once again in the cavity 10 existing in the head 2 of the key after the break. In the event of an accident, the driver's body is prevented from hitting against the head of the key.
