<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female connector capable of preventing a metallic shell being easily disengaged, even if a slight force is applied to a female connector. SOLUTION: In this female connector 1 having a frame 10 in which a recessed part is formed, plural contacts 17, 17 placed in the recessed part, and a shell 20, attached to the periphery of the frame 10 while having an opening part 23 on its one side, engagement parts 29, 29 to become engaged with a part to be engaged 13 provided on the frame 10, are provided on the surface of both sides of the shell 20 divided by the opening part 23, and the engagement part 13 is engaged with the parts to be engaged 29, 29 by using elasticity of the metallic shell. Step parts 27, 27 are formed on the both sides of the shell 20, abutting parts 15, 15 on which the step parts 27, 27 abut are formed on the frame 10, and the shell 20 is brought into close contact with the frame 10 by the step parts 27, 27, abutting on the abutting parts 15, 15.</p> |
