<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute processing such as printing the data of a work station, etc., while confirming the state of an image forming device when performing the processing. <P>SOLUTION: When there is the request of service from WS 2-1 to 2-3, a service function managing part 5c of an integral service controller 5 inquires of composite machines 4-1 to 3 as to the propriety of service and connects a composite machine that can afford the service to a line leading to the WS. The service function information storing part of the composite machine stores appearance figure information showing individual functions stored in the self- device, operation panel information, and the specifications and state of each component part. When there is the request of appearance figure information about the outer appearance of the composite machine form the connected WS, an operation managing part reads the appearance figure information from the service function information storing part, and transmits the information to a communication control part. The communication control part transmits the transmitted appearance figure information to the WS, and the WS stores the transmitted appearance figure information and displays the transmitted appearance figure information on a displaying part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
