PURPOSE:To carve patterns profitably by photo-irradiating a photosensitive resin layer on a base through a negative film, removing an uncured of said resin layer, forming a recessed and projected stamp plate, applying said recessed and projected stamp plate to the side section of an unvulcanized tire, and then vulcanizing the unvulcanized tire. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive resin layer 3 is provided on a base 1. Next, a negative film 4 on which patterns are figured is placed on the photosensitive resin layer 3, and the negative film 4 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays by a ultraviolet lamp 5. As a result, an irradiated section of the photosensitive resin layer 3 is turned into a photo-cured section 6, while a section not irradiated is turned into an uncured section 7. A recessed and projected stamp plate 8 is manufactured by removing the uncured section 7 and exposed to light again. Next, while the recessed and projected stamp plate 8 is reversed in the state that the mark 12 and the like are recessed, the recessed and projected faces are applied on the surface of a side section of an unvulcanized tire 14. Then, the unvulcanized tire 14 is vulcanized and a pneumatic tire 15 having the mark 12 and the like additionally formed on the surface of a tire side section is manufactured. Thus, patterns are figured profitably.
