PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract high temperature steam with high efficiency and enhance overall efficiency. SOLUTION: This fuel cell power generation system is equipped with: a reformer 1 to generate a reformed gas; a carbon monoxide modifier 2 to modify carbon monoxide in the reformed gas; a fuel cell body 3 to introduce the reformed gas after the reform into a fuel electrode 3a and the air into an air electrode 3b, and transform them into electric energy by the use of electrochemical reaction; a steam separator 4 to separate steam and water from a cell cooling water from which generated heat during the power generation is recovered via a cell cooling plate 3c, a cell cooling water system to supply part of the water after the separation as the cooling water for the carbon monoxide modifier 2 and the remainder as the cooling water for the fuel cell body 3 after cooling it to a temperature as low as the temperature of the entry of the cell cooling plate; and a steam generator 8 that introduces the cooling water for the fuel cell body 3 which recovers reaction heat via the cell cooling plate 3c and the cooling water for the carbon monoxide modifier 2 which recovers the exhaust heat of the combustion exhaust gas of the reformer 1 as a heating side medium, transmits the recovered heat to a heated side medium of an exhaust heat recovering system separated from the cell cooling water system and thus generates steam from the heated side medium. |
