<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable switch-interlocking LED optical fiber pen. <P>SOLUTION: The retractable switch-interlocking LED optical fiber pen has such a structure that a lead is exposed to light a lamp by simply pushing the pen on its head by one hand and that, in a light place, this pen can be used as a conventional pen, which does not cause lighting of any light source, while, in a dark place, the lamp can be lighted for writing while illuminating the tip of the pen and, upon pushing once more, the light is put out and the lead is incorporated in the pen body. Further, in order to utilize the directivity of light, which is property inherent in LED, and to apply the principle of the optical fiber, LED is disposed in a barrel part of the pen body so that a paper surface part in the lead tip is irradiated with the highest-intensity light. An angle is provided in a light incident part, and the tip of the barrel part of the pen body is provided flat to spread light in the paper surface part in the lead tip, making it easy to see a part around the writing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
