The tool is in the form of a ring (4) with an hexagonal bore (8) that fits on the nut or bolt head. Around the periphery of the tool are teeth (10) with a steep face against which the end of a driving punch can be seated. The teeth are arranged with the face (12) approximately in the radial direction so that the driving punch can be aligned to transmit hammer blows mainly in the tangential direction. ADVANTAGE - Specific parts can be removed without necessity for large scale dismantling of assemblies, thus saving time and cost.
