PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and accurately select a suitable data-base from plural databases by a simple processing. SOLUTION: In a field estimation database 2 a field corresponding to a retrieving word is stored. In a retrieved target evaluation database 4 the evaluation values of respective databases 10a to 10c corresponding to respective field are stored. A field estimation part 3 extracts a field corresponding to a retrieving word inputted by an input device 1 from the database 2 and a retrieved target estimation part 5 extracts the evaluation value of every database corresponding to the extracted field from the database 4. A database to be a retrieved target is converged in accordance with the evaluation value extracted by the estimation part 5 and a retrieving processing part 7 retrieves data from the converged database out of the database 10a to 10c. A retrieved target evaluation correction part 8 corrects the evaluation value stored in the database 4 based on the obtained retrieved result.
