A vehicle seat device in which a vehicle occupant feels less unpleasant when a bending mechanism of the device is operated. The vehicle seat device has a seat cushion frame (1) and a seat back frame (2). The seat back frame (2) has a lower frame (21) supported at its lower end so as to be tiltable relative to the rear end of the seat cushion frame (1), an upper frame (22) placed at the upper part of the lower frame (21), and the bending mechanism for connecting between the lower frame (21) and the upper frame (22) such that the upper frame (22) can be bent forward. The bending mechanism allows the upper frame to tilt about a rotation center (T) located in front of a seat back skin (H) that covers the front face of the seat back frame (2). The movement of the upper frame when it tilts is similar to the movement of a vehicle occupant when they bend forward, which reduces rubbing between the seat back skin and the back of the occupant to minimize unpleasant feeling to the occupant.
