PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer filter with little pressure difference between upstream and downstream of a polymer flow line of a filtering apparatus, securing required passing flow rate of molten polymer, and surely collecting particulate foreign matters and gel mixedly present in polymer. SOLUTION: The polymer filter is configured by superposing an unwoven fabric filter of metallic fiber with a filtered particle size less than 100μm by a glass bead percolation test based on JIS-B-8356 with a wire mesh filter with the filtered particle size by the glass bead percolation test based on JIS-B-8356 smaller than the filtered particle size of the unwoven fabric filter, and by superposing reinforcing wire mesh with the filtered particle size by the glass bead percolation test based on JIS-B-8356 more coarse than either of the unwoven fabric filter and wire mesh filter, on the outer face of at least one of the unwoven fabric filter and wire mesh filter.
