The method allow frozen cooked or pre-cooked food products to be packag ed and transported from a manufacturing location to a catering location where they are reheated in stackable trays 20 for packaging, transport and reheating, which can be nested inside each other after use. The trays (20) are designed with sloped portions (26) and openings (31, 32, 36, 37 and 38) allowing said products to be uniformly reheated.
