The described sun visor for vehicles is designed with a sun-visor body (1) which, in the region of one longitudinal edge (2), has an incorporated pivot-bearing housing (3) in which a sliding element (28) is seated and the long spindle leg (8) of a supporting spindle (4) is guided. The sun-visor body (1) is mounted in both a rotatable and displaceable fashion on the long spindle leg (8), and the sliding element (28) comprises a metal sleeve (38) which has plastic material injection-moulded around it, is circular over its entire length and has a uniform wall thickness and which, over at least one zone which lies between shoulders (30) and extends axially, has an annularly encircling bulge (40) which serves to counteract a radial deformation of the metal sleeve (38) in the case of a radial loading of the spring. <IMAGE>
