The tyre, provided with a carcass of the radial type, has a belt structure comprising two radially superposed layers (1,2) of metal fabric reinforced with cords (4) disposed obliquely to the circumferential direction of the tyre and crossed with one another, and a reinforcing ring on each end of said layer pair, comprising at least one rubberized fabric band reinforced with high-elongation metal strips (3) directed circumferentially. In the vulcanized tyre dismantled from the vehicle and inflated to the use pressure, said rings lie in the same cylindrical surface coaxial with the tyre, whereas the intermediate belt portion seen in right section exhibits a profile convex to the outside. <IMAGE> |
