PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress short and amalgamation owing to the migration of a terminal electrode and to improve the life of a plasma address display device by constituting the terminal electrode for the external connection of a discharge electrode by means of a metallic paste where a calcination contracting rate indicated by means of a specified expression is equal to below a specified value. SOLUTION: The terminal electrode 14 for the external connection of the discharge electrode 9 consists of the metallic paste where the calcination contracting rate obtained by the expression, the calcination contracting rate(%)=((the thickness of the metallic paste after a calcination) - (the thickness of an electrode after the calcination))/(the thickness of the metallic paste after drying) ×100, is equal to below 25%. For example, in the plasma address display device, the terminal electrode 14 passes under a frit seal 11 and drawn to the outside of a plasma cell and a tip part at a plasma cell side is superimposed with the discharge electrode 9 so as to be connected. The terminal electrode 14 is formed by coating a conductive paste and executing the calcination. Here, the metallic paste is used as the conductive paste and the calcination contracting rate of the metallic paste is restricted to be more than 25%. |
