Granules (2) are treated with (biologically) active material and inlaid between lower- (1) and upper- (3) sheets. The upper sheet permits diffusion. The density of points at which the sheets are bonded together, permits only slight movement of the granules. An Independent claim is included for the production of the shoe. Preferred Features: The sheets are edge-joined, all around. Granules are perfumed. They are made of diffusive material with internal cavities. The lower layer is hygroscopic. Lower and/or upper layers consist of foam or fibrous material. Introduced needle-sewn threads form point fastenings. At the edges, an intermediate sheet or material bonding, completes the edge join. Points of bonding extend over the whole area of the sole. Granules are bonded together by an intermediate material, but not enclosed by it. A profiled melt-adhesive sheet is used for point-bonding. Its thickness is less than the granule diameter. The upper layer is lined e.g. leather, fabric or cambrell. Both layers are stiff or flexible material. The top layer has an upper lining. Both layers have a conformable content and the sole construction is formed to shape. The conformable content is a thermoplastic, especially a melt fiber.
