An analog and digital TV and a control method thereof are provided to output an ACK signal through a GPIO(Global Purpose Input/Output) when the control of an analog TV is achieved. An analog TV control member(8) and a digital TV control member(22) are connected through GPIOs(41,42). The four pins among the GPIO pins connected with the digital TV control member are connected with the analog TV control member and the signal for controlling an instantaneous response is transmitted and received. The GPIO is also connected with a peripheral device processor. A remote controller receiving terminal is connected with the digital TV control member so that a control command signal is inputted to the digital TV control member.
