摘要 A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel having the same are provided to efficiently control alignment of liquid crystal particles of a liquid crystal layer placed at an edge of a first sub-pixel electrode by reducing a gap between the common voltage lines and the edge of the first sub-pixel electrode and reinforcing a lateral field formed between common voltage lines and the first sub-pixel electrode, thereby improving display performance. A thin film transistor substrate(100) has a plurality of pixel areas defined by crossing of gate lines(120) and data lines(140), and including a first sub-pixel area and a second sub-pixel area separated from the first sub-pixel area. Common voltage wiring(123) is formed on the same layer as the gate lines, and includes common voltage lines(125) formed along circumferences of the first sub-pixel area and the second sub-pixel area, common voltage line pads(126) extended from the common voltage lines, and common voltage line expansion parts(128) extended from the common voltage lines and formed along an edge of the first sub-pixel area opposite to the common voltage pads. Thin film transistors include drain electrodes formed on the same layer as the data lines. A passivation layer is formed on the thin film transistors. Pixel electrodes(165) have a first sub-pixel electrode(166) formed on the passivation layer corresponding to the first sub-pixel area and electrically connected with the drain electrodes, and a second sub-pixel electrode(167) formed on the passivation layer corresponding to the second sub-pixel area and electrically separated from the first sub-pixel electrode.
