A drum type washing machine is provided to prevent the laundry from being entangled and to prevent overflow of water without using a blade structure. A drum type washing machine comprises a water tank(10), a drum(16), an injection hole(7), a door(8), an intake port(19), and a discharge port(21). The water tank is elastically supported in a housing member(2) forming an exterior appearance. The drum is rotatably installed to a horizontal periphery in the water tank. The injection port faces to a front of the water tank and the drum. The injection port is installed at a front part of the housing member. The door is rotatably installed to switch the injection port. The intake port inhaling external air is installed at more upper part than water level of the water tank. The discharge port is upwardly formed than the water level of the water tank. The external air is inhaled from the intake port into the drum and is discharged. |
