The mischievous telephone call preventing method in a telephone is embodied to check a calling party under the service of a telephone exchange to thereby prevent the inconvenience caused due to a frequent mischievous telephone call. The mischievous telephone call preventing method in the telephone comprises the steps of: checking whether conversation is completed upon the reception of a mischievous telephone call from the calling party; if completed, checking a calling party checking request mode of a user; and if in the calling party checking request mode, processing a hook flash and executing telephone exchange call dialling(151) to automatically check the calling party telephone number.
