PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container-lid opening device which can decrease equipment cost and operation maintenance cost by coping with containers of various sizes by the single device. SOLUTION: A frame 11 disposed movable parallel to a lid carrying direction D is provided with a frame ascendable/descendable and also stoppable in an arbitrary position in the direction of its height. The frame is provided with a long-side moving frame movable in a direction parallel to the lid carrying direction D and a short-side moving frame movable in a direction perpendicular to the lid carrying direction D as seen from the top. The long-side moving frame is provided with a support 21 for sandwiching a means for disengaging a container main body and a lid 4 and the lid 4 from a long side. The short-side moving frame is provided with a support 56 or the like for sandwiching the means for disengaging the container main body and the lid 4 and the lid 4 from a short side.
